Noah & his crew make a splash at the National Parenting Center, winning the coveted Seal of Approval for 2012

We are on a roll, friends! We're celebrating our third major award this year for our 2-in-1 Noah's Ark Floor Puzzle. Here's what the National Parenting Center team had to say after an exhaustive round of playing and testing:

On Sunday we celebrate a holiday that honors the very special women who made our lives possible… our mothers! We remember the story of Mary, a humble woman who had faith in God and accepted God’s wish for her to have baby Jesus. Like Mary, our own mothers take on the uncertainty and stresses of pregnancy and child-rearing with strength and courage. They are the champions of running the house, encouraging us to finish our vegetables, and prompting us to say “please” and “thank you.” Even more than that, they are our cheerleaders, our nurses, our teachers, and especially a soft place to fall when we feel down and out. In addition to offering Mom flowers and chocolates this Mother’s Day, let us also offer a prayer for her continued health, happiness…and sanity! Have a blessed Mother’s Day, friends!

As many of you may know, Wee Believers is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Last week, a series of deadly storms ravaged the Midwest, and devastated several fellow Hoosier towns. Today we would like to appeal to all of you for prayers or some form of support for those who are suffering the effects of these storms. To do our part in restoring peace, Wee Believers is sending a variety of toys down to the children who need a little "pick me up." We thank God that many people survived and are experiencing Christ's love though the generosity of their brothers and sisters.

Observing Ash Wednesday and Lent

Today marks the beginning of one of the most important and special seasons of the year; it is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent! Lent is a period of reflection, sacrifice, and fasting as we prepare to celebrate the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ who made our salvation possible. It gives us an opportunity to grow closer to Him as we attempt to understand and appreciate the sacrifice that was made for us. To take advantage of this important time of year, consider giving up something as a family or committing to a special cause. For example, some families might give up watching TV and others might devote time to volunteering at a local food pantry. We would love to hear what you and your family are doing for Lent this year!
